"Yes in Gods Backyard (YIGBY) is one of many projects that represent AVRP Studios’ commitment to the larger goal of housing for all. Doug Austin, FAIA, serves on the Chair of the advisory board for YIGBY which is an organization that is committed to finding innovative ways for San Diego to better house its poor and homeless. This is a big step towards finding new ways to address homelessness and the lack of affordable housing in San Diego through collaboration and the faith based community.
AVRP Studios as a firm, provided pro bono services to help YIGBY study several sites.
This project, Imperial Lofts, is being built in conjunction with Bethel AME Church of San Diego and the Architect of Record LPA. It will consist of a 16 unit pre-manufactured modular container of affordable housing, and is targeted towards veterans in transition."
