At 450 feet, this building was designed to be one of the tallest structures in the San Diego skyline. The 60,000 s.f. site included a Hotel, Affordable housing, Commercial Office space, Parking and a High-end International Market Place.

The structure is designed to engage the viewer when approaching the building, drawing on to the large public space that includes a grand open space, the Market Place, and a cathedral-like transitional area that would connect the Gaslamp District to Petco Park while creating an unforgettable entry experience to the hotel, residential units and office building.

7th & Market was planned to be an overall expression of “city living”. One unique attribute of this proposed development is the mid-block public pedestrian connection, through and under a building portal.

This would connect Market Street directly to Island, improve circulation and also add to the vibrant nature intended for the ground floor level of this project.
