The proposed project includes one building that is a 26-story high-rise residential tower and the other building is a 7-story mid-rise. There are 361 units, including 270 units in the market rate Lakehouse North Tower and 91 units in the affordable Lakehouse South mid-rise. There is a 3-level parking garage totalling 86,804 sf with 200 car parking stalls and bicylcle storage.
Amenities will include: private balconies, community rooms, courtyard, roof deck, cafe space and an art gallery. Given its unique location along the estuary, overlooking the new extension of Lake Merritt’s park edge, this 26-story tower was designed to take advantage of surrounding views while not appearing too massive to those walking around the lake or using the new Lakeside park.
The two important edges - East 12th Street and the park along the estuary to the north- were lined with uses that will both activate and supervise these public areas. In addition to the Penthouses, the Studio apartments, and 1,2 & 3-bedroom apartments will enjoy views of the lake.
