This 21-unit upscale apartment community will open in North Park in August 2018. It will include the preservation of two existing bungalows from the 1920’s and add two new buildings; A two-story building with three one-bedroom, one-bathroom units, and a four-story building over a parking garage with 14 one-bed, one-bath apartments and four two-bed, two-bath options.
The challenge for our team was to maintain the integrity of the sensitive canyon land it sits on. Our solution to this challenging site was to develop a “hillside village” that stair-steps down to the adjacent canyon. This afforded views and abundant natural light to each unit. To keep sensitive to the neighborhood the project provides for the lowest scale units along the residential corridor.
