With a commitment to forward-thinking architecture, global design elements and attention to detail in product and service, Colrich retained AVRP Skyport for the expansion of their corporate headquarters because of the alignment of values and culture between the two organizations.
AVRP Skyport worked closely with Colrich’s in-house construction and design teams to ensure the materials and aesthetics reflected Colrich’s commitment to quality and the integration of design and value.
The result was a 6,800 SF expansion to Colrich’s 9,750 SF offices, which were also renovated as part of the project. The space grew onto an additional floor connected with a heavy timber feature stair, and the design of a new reception, boardroom and client facing elements.
The use of live edge wood details, exposed structure and black metal ties the two floors together. The shell building’s unique wood and block construction and recessed mechanical wells added a level of complexity requiring a unique approach to zoning the placement of mechanical units and combining heavy timber and steel structural elements.
